2011
..And it's already MARCH!
Mogwai's new album was just released + I love it
Tortoise, Aphex Twin, The National and 65 days of static are all coming here to Singapore in the next month!
And I have a few more medium format cameras in my cabinet. Mamiya 67 and an awesome Fuji 6X9 III (GW690III) which I just shot through my second roll with today : )
Tried to get some jobs, and nothing back yet. Pretty frustrated tbh, Ill try to drown it in something.

Something I found afew days while ago... Everyone should see this:
Haiti six days later - The Big Picture - Boston.com
This I just found; Really nice matte painting work!

And this song is great:
Not many posts because I have been damn busy! I get my life back soon...

Blogger Flickr gadget broke! (fix) (also Twitter gadget)
I noticed it was broke (along with the twitter gadget which i've removed until they fix it. To fix that, just use the twitter rss instead)
I found instructions for creating one Flickr side here... (it's the one I'm using here) there are more customizable options too!

In short, go here, and its all easy!

A quick one..
..before I go to sleep (and get up again in 3 hours!)
Cambodia again, back nearly a year!
Stumbled upon 'that' fill light 'looks a bit like a drawing' processing technique... Im still not sure about it... It is 'nice' though. It brings the scene to life I think...
More soon... Some great film presets I found for lightroom: http://www.lifeindigitalfilm.com/
$10 for the whole lot, loads for free, and more on the way... I've just tried the kodak 100 preset, and im in a happy place... Its really cool to be shooting 'film' with my D700... and a bit cheaper : )
Remember, shoot RAW, or it might not convert well...
Ill put some 'kodak 100' pics up soon!

2:24am cliche
(such)? dark eyes;
but so bright.
this is just for me.
Its from a day that feels far away. it feels like lots has changed in a year.. and a year went fast.
A good day.
A day that i wont get back.
A day that won't come back.
Whatever. Ill hate this tomorrow.
for whatevers sake, thats kodak bw400cn (awesome stuff) taken with a Nikon EM (my mums) through (also technically hers) an (old) tamron 28mm 2.5.(my fave lens) and it must be a year old or more.
(scan date Monday, July 14, 2008) shot here in Singapore on one warm afternoon last summer.
I wonder if in 20 years we will be able to say 'summer of '08' without feeling stupid. Or if i will be able to say then what i feel like saying now without feeling stupid; something about it being almost too long ago to care to remember. But i do care to remember. Like I set that upon myself the moment i tilted the camera and pressed down so freely. I was so confused, lost, though seeing this shows me i am just as lost now, maybe more.
Must have been one of my first b&w rolls.
The lack of colour is killing me somewhere inside.

Analogue stuff (c41 film in b&w chemicals)
Ive been experimenting with developing c41 (colour negative) film in black and white chemicals, and hey, it works...
Im using a load of old konica centuria stock (exp 2003) that i got a while ago (for cheap : ] )
Its cool because c41 film is cheaper than b&w film = more shots = yay!
My current method is microphen 1+0 (kinda old) 8 mins (25'C) and a fix in standard ilford rapidfix mix for about 15 minutes... Using a long fix because it seems to take a while to get alot of the orange colour out. (normal bw fix is about 4-6 mins) Neg density seems ok now, I feel like reducing the dev time another minute or so though.
Of course, the negs still have an orange mask, like yer standard colour negs, and yeah, you dont actually get any colour (though it seems like some people get the odd whiff)
Anyway, enough! Here's a flickr group dedicated to this alt process! http://www.flickr.com/groups/c41inbw/pool/
Also, I think Im getting a camera tomorrow, and I think It'll be a Lubitel =] (Flickr Lubitel shots...)
After using a rolleiflex in the uk, Im seeing in squares...
Won't be surprised if I come away with more than the one camera either...
Okay sleep...
